This study explores moral approaches to conict resolution in Tivland. violent conicts have continued to deteriorate in Tivland resulting in forfeiture of lives and property. The study employed the phenomenological method which focused on a detailed portrayal of the experience of violent conicts. The primary sources involved the use of unstructured oral interviews. Findings show that violent conicts in Tivland have no ethical justications since they act against human dignity and demean the status of humans as moral agents. The research also found out that It is the observation of this study that, while peaceful societies ourish, conict-ridden societies remain poor and underdeveloped like Tivland. The need for moral retrospection or evaluation toward sustainable conict resolution becomes imperative. Since effective conict management usually leads to an improvement in the social relations and conditions of the parties involved, there is every need to resolve these conicts if the social conditions in Tivland must be improved for good. The research argued that ethical principles are capable of reinvigorating peaceful co-existence in Tivland despite decades of violent conicts. It recommended that the application of the principle of double effect and the just war doctrine are useful models in taming crises if applied adequately. the government should establish security outlets in the conict-prone areas of Tivland, and all parties in conict must be conscious of our common humanity to restore the dignity and sanctity of Human life. The research concludes that peace must reign in Tivland if the approaches to conict resolution are applied effectively.
