A CRITICAL EXAMINATION OF SECURITY POLICIES IN ANAMBRA ESTATES IMPLICATIONS FOR CRIME PREVENTION AND COMMUNITY SAFETY

ABSTRACT

The implementation of security policies in Anambra residential estates is a critical area of inquiry, focusing on the governmental strategies aimed at enhancing safety and sustainable development within these communities. This study investigates the efficacy of security policies in addressing the diverse and escalating security challenges facing residential estates across Anambra State. Guided by the theoretical framework of state fragility, the research employs a qualitative approach with a historical research design. Secondary data sources, including internet resources, academic journals, books, and official publications from relevant government agencies, provide the basis for a comprehensive review and analysis. The content analysis method is utilized to extract and examine pertinent information from these sources, aiming to elucidate the impact and effectiveness of current security policies in fostering a secure and conducive environment for sustainable development within Anambra residential estates.
